STOP THE ECONOMIC CHRONIC GENOCIDE

STOP THE ECONOMIC CHRONIC GENOCIDE

Today I will present the argument that Canada's government's recent actions constitute an economic genocide against Ontario's long-standing Cannabis community. Canada's government has a history of genocidal action against our Aboriginals, including even modern issues revolving around health, sanitation and the safety and well being of their women. Our community was promised Legalization by the government-elect in 2015, and after two years; the reality is that MORE cannabis charges have been laid, people have been economically hindered and lawfully hindered from participation in the market, our existing industry is being threatened with closures and takeover, proposals are being made to worsen penalties, access is becoming more limited, and the government continues to crack down on the community that has demanded the end of this conflict. We demand this government respect our right to exist, and respect our right to participate in this market which serves our community. On an annual basis, for over a decade, Ontario's flourishing cannabis community has gathered annually for a large variety of Cannabis themed events, festivals, and large protests including 4/20 and the Global Marijuana March. These communities constitute tens of thousands of citizens, and we have our own culture, music, and identity that needs to be respected, not rejected. If the government believes they can divide and conquer our community, so that the LCBO can create a market for itself in the ashes of our spent entrepreneurs hard work - it will not work. The large majority of people will absolutely, go back to street dealers and alternatives. These CCBOs will likely become excessive targets of criminal activity, as our community does not want this, and people will likely rebel against these establishments. In 2019, we will encourage the private model be considered nation wide, and we will abolish this proposed CCBO system imposed by the Liberal government. Ontario's Cannabis community will not be squeezed out of our right to a future by millionaires; We're going to fight back - and take back what's rightfully ours. Anything less than full participation, for the existing community; should be regarded as an Economic Genocide and be opposed by any and every means, as a means of our communities continued survival. The definition of Genocide is as follows: Generally speaking, genocide does not necessarily mean the immediate destruction of a nation, except when accomplished by mass killings of all members of a nation. It is intended rather to signify a coordinated plan of different actions aiming at the destruction of essential foundations of the life of national groups, with the aim of annihilating the groups themselves. The objectives of such a plan would be the disintegration of the political and social institutions, of culture, language, national feelings, religion, and the economic existence of national groups, and the destruction of the personal security, liberty, health, dignity, and even the lives of the individuals belonging to such groups "The historical examples of genocide also suggest that the area of the perpetrator's activity and control, as well as the possible extent of their reach, should be considered. ... The intent to destroy formed by a perpetrator of genocide will always be limited by the opportunity presented to him. While this factor alone will not indicate whether the targeted group is substantial, it can—in combination with other factors—inform the analysis." Article II of the Convention defines genocide as: ...any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: (b) Causing serious bodily harm, or harm to mental health, to members of the group; (c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; 56,000+ Cannabis arrests under Trudeau Toronto cannabis lounges, in operation for 18 years, to ask for the right to exist legally The Liberal Party elite is heavily invested in the medical marijuana Licensed Producers mail-order business Note, We never asked the Government to provide us with a Vision of Legalization. We have one as a community, that they need to acknowledge and approve of. That's it.
