A Space Party is not a One Issue Party
The Cosmic Pirate Party, Canada's first "Space Party" is not a one issue Party. We are seeking to look ahead, and to quantum leap forward by setting goals worth pursuing for our generation, and future generations of Canadians. Our nation is seemingly currently adrift under the leadership of Stephen Harper, crashing into economic tides of chaos, our ship's infrastructure is being sold off to other ships and individuals, Canadian's are falling overboard, and some like our indigineous are seemingly getting keelhauled beneath the ship by an unjust government, that treats many Canadians as its own enemy. If our society is to reach into forward and upward into Space, we need to look inward first, and reflect upon our values and use them as our compass to guide ourselves forward going into the future. We have had, a proud history of standing up for Environmental and Human rights issues in the past, and were previously the top provider of Peacekeepers to the United Nations. We were a voice for a better world, but we have stumbled. We were a voice for justice, and Harper's government has led us astray on the global front and even at home - eroding our rights with a thousand seemingly imperceptible cuts, but we see this corruption, and this failure, and Canadian's deserve better. The suits in office, aren't doing it - so maybe they deserve Orange ones for rigging our Elections and getting caught three times in a row - while We Pirates take the helm and resteer the boat, and to balance the affairs of the Crew. To win the hearts and minds of Canadians, future governments need a vision that addresses today's issues - but also looks forward, and raises the bar for the next generation. We should always seek, to build a better tomorrow, and today - The Cosmic Pirate Party seeks to make that possible, by setting our nation's aim on the Moon and Mars, so that hopefully tomorrow, we land amongst the Stars.
